Customer Identity & Access Management Site

The Martin & Servera group offers goods, services and knowledge for restaurants and commercial kitchens in Sweden.

Problem

Today there is no possibility for M&S customers to handle permissions for their employees for M&S online services, therefore all 18k customers have to contact the support for that.

Hypothesis

Giving the right authorization feels easy and intuitive.

My role

I joined a newly created team responsible for developing an innovative solution that will allow customers to handle permissions themselves and make it easier for support employees to address customers' inquiries.

I've created responsive interactive prototypes of the new product in Figma, so that hypothesis could be tested with future users. After few rounds of interviewing both internal and external users, Dana has iterated the design. The sketches then have been discussed and features prioritised together with Product owner and developers so that everything will be ready for development.

While working on sketches, I have been building interactive components for new Design System in Figma, as well as sharing best practice way of working with other designers.

Customer value

- insights about authorisation management from a user perspective used both by the business and Dana as a designer to create a useful solution
- ready-made solutions for development in the form of interface sketches and prototypes
- the solution with relevant functionality adapted to user needs thanks to usage tests carried out by Dana
